About the Role

We are looking for an Instructional Designer to design engaging, practical, and impactful learning experiences that help employees build the knowledge, skills, and capabilities they need to succeed.

In this role, you will work closely with subject matter experts and internal stakeholders to understand learning needs and translate complex information into clear, accessible, and engaging learning content.

You will be responsible for designing and developing learning experiences across different formats, using instructional design principles, learning technologies, and our Learning Management System (LMS).

The ideal candidate combines strong instructional design expertise with creativity, strong stakeholder management, and an understanding of business priorities.

Key Responsibilities

Learning & Instructional Design

• Design engaging learning experiences that support knowledge retention and practical application.

• Create compelling course content, learning activities, exercises, and practice opportunities.

• Define clear learning objectives and ensure content and activities are aligned with the intended outcomes.

• Apply instructional design theories, learning principles, and established instructional design models.

• Conduct learner and context analysis to understand the needs of different audiences.

• Develop assessments and evaluation methods to measure learner understanding and performance.

• Design learning experiences using a variety of formats, including:

  • Videos and audio

  • Simulations

  • Role plays

  • Games and interactive activities

  • Visual learning materials

  • Digital courses

Content Development

• Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and knowledge owners to gather, structure, and validate content.

• Translate complex or technical information into clear, engaging, and learner-friendly content.

• Write effective instructional copy, learning materials, audio scripts, and video scripts.

• Create storyboards and instructional graphics to bring learning concepts to life.

• Ensure learning content is accessible, intuitive, and easy to navigate.

LMS & Learning Technology

• Develop and maintain learning content within the LMS and other learning technologies.

• Maintain accurate course documentation, content libraries, and course folders both within and outside the LMS.

• Use course development and authoring tools to create high-quality digital learning experiences.

• Apply basic HTML knowledge where required to support digital learning content.

Stakeholder Management

• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, SMEs, and knowledge owners.

• Proactively engage content owners to ensure learning materials remain accurate and up to date.

• Understand the needs of different learner groups and adapt learning solutions accordingly.

• Act as a trusted partner to stakeholders throughout the learning design and development process.

Business Impact & Prioritisation

• Understand business priorities and translate them into relevant learning solutions.

• Assess the relative importance and criticality of different knowledge areas.

• Prioritise learning content based on business needs, learner impact, and urgency.

• Ensure learning experiences balance impact, accessibility, simplicity, and ease of delivery.

• Manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines.

What We're Looking For

Experience & Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in instructional design, learning design, or a related field.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Education, or a related discipline is preferred.

• Proven experience designing and developing learning experiences and instructional content.

• Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS).

• Strong knowledge of learning theories and instructional design methodologies.

• Experience with course development/authoring tools.

• Experience creating storyboards and visual learning materials.

Technical Skills

• Strong instructional writing and content development skills.

• Experience creating audio and video scripts.

• Visual design capabilities and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects.

• Basic HTML knowledge.

• Ability to translate learning concepts into engaging digital and interactive experiences.
